Vacation Time!!!

This past weekend we took a last minute vacation to the Hyatt Lost Pines- one of our favorites! I am breaking this up into two posts! On Saturday night the kids had fun making smores! Aubrey just likes the toasted marshmallows!

Here I am enjoying my own Smore! While we were walking around that evening we got to see three owls! They were big and flying around- it was really interesting to watch!

Here's Cam by the river.

Here we are ready for the "movie on the lawn". They even provide fresh, buttery popcorn!

This was such a fun, family get away. I'm so glad we went and made so many memories!

Aubrey is 7!!!!

I know every parent says it, but it's true...... they grow up so fast! Aubrey is such an amazing 7 year old and brings us so much joy. Although these pictures are out of order, you still get the idea!

Here she is they day after her true birthday in one of her new outfits, and playing with her new American girl doll case and closet.

She of course had breakfast in bed on her birthday, and got to open her presents! Aubrey got a new bike that she picked out and loves! Here she is with her adorable little brother while opening a gift from her Great Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Joe!

A week before her actual birthday we had Aubrey's party. She wanted a bowling party so that is what she got. She invited her best friends and they all went bowling- it was great fun!

Here she is with her cake at the party (and yes, she does have on some make-up but that is ONLY because she went to another birthday party an hour before her own where they dressed up!)

If this all was not enough, she also got to have 2 special birthday dinners with both sets of grandparents! I think it's safe to say that 7 has started out pretty great for our sweet girl :)

Easter

We had a great Easter this year! Here are the kids after coloring some eggs. Now that the kids are a little older the eggs are even prettier!

Easter morning they are ready to hunt for eggs!
Here they are ready for church! Camden plays the role of little bother very well!!

Could they be any cuter? I sure don't think so!

Not so many Bluebonnets

Without much rain this year, there were almost no bluebonnets to be found. Luckily right by Camden's ball fields there was a nice little patch and Chris was smart enough to take the kids over after a game and get a few snap shots for the 2011 year!

Baseball!

This spring Camden played baseball (or tee-ball) in the 6 and under age group. The season started a couple weeks before his 5th birthday, so he was one of the younger players! He was amazing! He hit a few homeruns this season and was great as the pitcher- getting the ball and throwing to first! We got lots of comments from coaches and parents that they couldn't believe he had just turned 5- because of how well he played they assumed he was older. Get ready, we may have a major leaguer on our hands!! Really, look at that form :)

Here he is running home! Such a cute little baseball player. We really had a fun season with great coaches- hopefully that will continue!

April Adventures

We started the month by celebrating Gigi's birthday! It was a beautiful spring day and we all had fun! Here are the cousins! Aubrey was very happy to hold sweet little Reese!

Then there was Aubrey's Field Trip. We had lunch at the Captial grounds and then went to the Austin Children's museum. Lots of excitement!

And then we were excited to go to MiMi and PawPaw's neighborhood Easter celebration. They always have a petting zoo, and the kids LOVE the bunnies! They also got to feed a calf- it was so sweet!

We had a great April! Can't believe how fast it went! Now only a few more weeks of school and it will be summer!!!!

One more at Kyle Field

Here is Chris and the kids, with Kyle Field in the background. They got out and ran around for awhile. It had been a long time since Chris had been on campus, he said it brought back lots of memories. I'm sure very different than having a 5 yr old, almost 7 yr old and a wife! Ha!!
