A Day at the Museum

Yesterday we loaded up, brought the neighbors along and drove to Waco to visit the Mayborn Museum. It was a great time with lots of learning and exploring!
This was a cool glass floor where you could see a mammoth archeological dig. The kids loved being able to walk across the see through floor and pick out the different bones.

There was also a lot of hands on "discovery" rooms. This was the cultural room!

We had lots of fun in the water/bubble room.

There were lots of other interesting rooms and we enjoyed the afternoon. We had to get back home in time for Aubrey's horseback riding lesson.
She is now officially in a class and will be going every other week. She love's it so much, and I love seeing her smile while she rides. Last night they rode bareback and then sat backwards on the horse and then layed down to ride. I think they are trying to make them very comfortable on horses- in any position. They also practiced how to get off the horse quickly if they needed to, safety first!

Everybody is Happy!

Today has been a great day for our family! Starting out first thing this morning Chris was surprised by his Fathers day gift- an X-box 360! It came with one condition.....I can turn it off whenever I need to :)

The best part for me was that today is the first day in our marriage that I was able to get someone to eat breakfast in bed! You see, growing up we did breakfast in bed for every birthday, mothers day, and fathers day but I have had a very hard time continuing this tradition. I think something was started, Chris enjoyed it and the kids had fun taking him breakfast, cards, and his gift while he was in bed.

Early in the afternoon we were able to skpe with my wonderful dad while my parents are in London. It was great to see them as well as sweet Sebastian, Clay and Holly.

After a nice morning we went to the pool- that definitely made the kids happy!! We came home and Chris grilled some de-licious ribeye steaks from Omaha steaks that his parents had given him. He also made the famous Mokry parmesan butter to go on top. I sauted some summer squash and made wedge salads. It was all wonderful! The rest of the day was spent outside with the neighbors.

I would say this has been a wonderful Fathers Day!

My Baby's Daddy

With Father's day coming up this weekend I thought I would go ahead and get started on sharing what an amazing daddy Chris is! It takes a lot to be a good dad and I think that by looking at the following pictures you will see that Chris has it all!

First you have to be silly! Check!

And of course you must have a big heart! Chris walked Aubrey to the "kiss goodbye zone" everyday this past year, just because he wanted to! (This is them on the first day of kindergarten.)

He is always up for an adventure!

And Chris wants the kids to experience everything! Like driving a dog sled..........

.........and shooting a gun! (This is a pellet gun)

And last but not least he is just plain FUN and loves to Play! Here Camden and he were running through the sprinklers.

Chris also plays any and every kind of ball or game with both kids! We sure are blessed to have Chris as a husband and Daddy.

Cousins and Almost there!

This should have us all caught up with the past 6 months! From here on out, the posts should be in order and current!

We had so much fun getting together with all of our cousins for some pictures! They are all growing so fast. All of them have so much fun together!
Camden and Joseph with Gigi!

Well, we did get a couple pictures with all the kids but Kelsey and Ryan weren't too happy about sitting in one place :) Here are the older kids.

So sweet!

These boys sure are cute, and are ALL boy!!

Summer.....

Well summer started right after Aubrey finished kindergarted. This year her teachers name was Mrs. Vernon and Aubrey had a great year! I can not believe she is going to be a first grader in a couple of months!
This was her right before leaving for school that morning.

Here she is on her 6th birthday. I am trying to continue the tradition of breakfast in bed for birthdays, mothers day and fathers day, but I'm not having much luck. Aubrey requested pancakes on the couch, so that is what she got!

Camden also got to enjoy his pancakes on the couch!

Aubrey loves to play with glasses, so I was so excited to find these with clear plastic for her! Isn't she adorable! Six years old and such a sweet girl. We love her more than she will ever know!

Playing Catch-Up

Here are some pictures from Spring! First we have a fun day in Burnet with the beautiful BlueBonnets! They were amazing this year!
Camden played on his first baseball team- the Astros! He was great and loved every minute of it! Aubrey was good big sister and cheered for him!

Easter was so fun this year. The kids made some great colored eggs the night before, and everyone got a chocolate bunny, just as they hoped for. We had creamed eggs at Mimi's and Papa's just like always!

We also have fun meeting the Cantu family out when they are camping, and this time we met them in Bastrop and spent the whole day! It ended with smores around the campfire- yum!

Our 2010 so far.......

I am going to try to update the blog with a quick glance back at the past six months! We started this year with a ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado to meet up with the London Colliers! We had a great time playing with Sebastian and getting to see Holly and Clay. Both kids skiied for the first time and did great! We also went dog sledding which was a blast!

In February we celebrated Camden's 4th birthday and got the extra treat of snow! We had so much fun playing in it with the neighbors. We even made a few snowmen!

Aubrey celebrated her 100th day of Kindergarten! She chose to decorate her shirt for the parade with 100 pictures from our trip to Colorado. It was the best shirt for sure!

A 6th Birthday Party

On June 15th we had Aubrey's 6th birthday party. It was at Windsong Farm (where Aubrey takes horseback riding lessons), and the kids all got to ride and play games on horseback! The kids had so much fun- I just wish I had been on a horse :)

Aubrey got her very own riding helmet from Mimi and Papa for her birthday- doesn't she look great in it!

As you drove up to the farm they had this sign out. Aubrey was so excited when she saw it! The past six years sure have flown by! We are so blessed to have such an amazing daughter!!
